Baker

Job Summary:

The Baker is responsible for preparing, baking, and finishing a wide variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods. This role requires knowledge of baking techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain high standards of product quality, cleanliness, and food safety.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and bake breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other baked products according to recipes and standards.
• Measure, mix, and prepare doughs, batters, and fillings.
• Operate and maintain baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and proofers.
• Ensure consistent quality, taste, and appearance of baked goods.
• Monitor inventory of baking ingredients and report shortages in a timely manner.
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Decorate cakes and pastries creatively, if required.
• Collaborate with kitchen or production team for daily requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area.
• Assist in developing new recipes or seasonal products.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Baker or similar role.
• Knowledge of baking techniques and food safety regulations.
• Ability to follow recipes and adapt to production needs.
• Creativity and attention to detail, especially for decorated items.
• Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced environment and handle long shifts.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, or holidays as required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary or baking certification is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time
