About the role

Discovery Samal (Samal Shores Inc) is seeking an experienced Recreation Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our recreational facilities and activities on the beautiful island of Samal, Davao del Norte. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for planning, organising and managing a wide range of recreational programs and services for our guests and members.

What you'll be doing

  1. Develop and implement engaging recreational programs, events and activities that cater to the diverse interests of our guests
  2. Manage the scheduling, staffing and budgeting for all recreational facilities and services
  3. Ensure the maintenance and cleanliness of all recreational areas and equipment
  4. Monitor and evaluate the performance and participation in recreational programs
  5. Collaborate with other departments to create integrated guest experiences
  6. Provide excellent customer service and respond to inquiries and feedback from guests
  7. Supervise and train a team of recreation attendants and instructors
  8. Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and security regulations

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a recreation management or related role
  2. A degree or diploma in recreation, sports management, hospitality or a related field
  3. Strong organisational, budgeting and project management skills
  4. Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  5. Creativity and innovation in designing engaging recreational programs
  6. Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations for recreational facilities
  7. Proficiency in using relevant software and technology for scheduling and operations
  8. A passion for the sport and recreation industry and delivering exceptional guest experiences
