The Data Science Manager (Supply Chain) leads the development of advanced analytics and machine learning solutions to enhance supply chain operations, including forecasting, inventory, logistics, and production planning. This role requires strong technical and leadership skills, with a preference for experience in food manufacturing and distribution.

  • Defines and executes the data science roadmap for supply chain transformation, partnering with senior leaders across planning, procurement, and operations to identify high-impact analytics initiatives.
  • Leads the development of predictive and prescriptive tools to enhance efficiency, service levels, and cost savings, while driving continuous improvement within the data analytics function.
  • Leads and mentors a team of data scientists and analysts focused on supply chain initiatives, managing projects from problem definition to model deployment.
  • Ensures timely and scalable integration of analytics models with existing planning systems such as SAP, Anaplan, and Snowflake.
  • Oversees the development of machine learning models for forecasting, inventory optimization, supply planning, network modeling, and anomaly detection using advanced algorithms like time series, reinforcement learning, and optimization techniques.
  • Ensures model accuracy, scalability, and sustainability through robust monitoring and continuous improvement practices.
  • Collaborates with Business Technology, Data Engineering, and Planning/Logistics teams to ensure seamless data access and model deployment.
  • Drives adoption of data science solutions by communicating business value clearly and promoting a culture of data-driven decision-making within the supply chain organization.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A graduate of Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree in Data Science is preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in data science, with at least one (1) year in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Experience in the food manufacturing or logistics/distribution industry is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI.
  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis, data mining, and machine learning techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication skills, critical-thinking skills, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with ERP and supply chain management systems is a plus.
  • Willing to work on a hybrid setup in Pasig or Laguna.
