CLIENT ONBOARDING AND BUSINESS DUE DILIGENCE MANAGER

What You'll Do
As a Client Onboarding and Business Due Diligence Manager based in BGC, you will be entrusted with guiding both business partners and individual clients through every step of their onboarding journey. Your role centres on ensuring that all documentation is meticulously reviewed while maintaining strict compliance with industry regulations. You will act as a bridge between external stakeholders and internal teams—facilitating communication, resolving complex issues swiftly, and championing process improvements that elevate partner satisfaction. By coaching your team members individually and collectively towards shared goals, you will foster an environment where everyone feels supported in their professional development.   • Lead and continuously enhance the full lifecycle of Know Your Business (KYB) for new partners by overseeing documentation, verification procedures, and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Manage the Know Your Customer (KYC) process for individual clients, including thorough screening, documentation review, and comprehensive risk assessment.
  • Escalate high-risk or suspicious cases promptly to Compliance or senior leadership for further evaluation and resolution.
  • Stay informed on evolving regulatory requirements and market practices related to KYB/KYC, integrating these updates into daily operations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for partner onboarding concerns, resolving issues with empathy and efficiency to ensure satisfaction.
  • Act as a liaison between external partners and internal teams such as Business Development, Product, Technical, Legal, and others to address escalated or complex matters beyond frontline capabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with the Compliance department to deliver a seamless onboarding journey from initial application through full activation.
  • Identify inefficiencies within the onboarding process, implementing improvements that enhance consistency, transparency, and compliance.
  • Standardise documentation procedures to maintain clarity and regulatory alignment across all onboarding activities.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the onboarding team by monitoring activities against service level agreements (SLAs), focusing on speed, accuracy, and partner satisfaction.
  • Coach and develop onboarding associates through regular one-on-one sessions aimed at understanding motivations, challenges, and areas for growth.
  • Strategise to meet or exceed team targets by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), productivity metrics, and quality standards.
  • Undertake additional duties or ad hoc tasks as assigned by supervisors that contribute to business operations or organisational goals.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Compliance Management, Legal Studies, Operations Management or a related discipline is required for this position.
  • Three to five years of hands-on experience managing KYB/KYC processes or leading partner onboarding initiatives within compliance operations or customer-facing environments is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively while overseeing operational workflows in settings characterised by rapid change or growth.
  • Comprehensive understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks such as Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Customer Due Diligence (CDD), KYB/KYC protocols is necessary.
  • Exceptional communication skills paired with strong interpersonal abilities enable you to approach escalations with sensitivity and resolve them efficiently.
  • Analytical mindset with proven experience reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) while identifying actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Experience working collaboratively across multiple departments—including Business Development, Product Management, Technical Support, Legal Affairs—and facilitating cross-functional solutions is highly valued.
  • Proficiency in standardising processes and documentation ensures consistency throughout all stages of client onboarding.
  • Ability to coach or mentor operational teams by providing constructive feedback during regular one-on-one sessions supports collective achievement of goals.
  • Nice to Have: Prior exposure to fintech companies, cryptocurrency platforms or B2B SaaS environments enhances your suitability for this role; familiarity with digital identity verification platforms adds further value; background in mentoring operational teams across diverse functions is advantageous.
