Coating Advisor

Coating Advisor Responsibilities:

Give clear instructions to clients and relevant Jotun staff on paint application by working on-site with relevant client representatives to ensure the coating specification is met and in accordance with customer expectations.

Carry out inspections of specific projects assigned to you by your direct manager by working independently, following the ITP and working procedures in order to ensure that the product is applied in accordance with the specification.

Write relevant reports by compiling data from inspections in order to document that the specification inspection criteria have been met (The job holder works independently as a Coating Advisor, attending and leading projects as defined by their line manager within Protective and/or Marine.

If the Job holder does not have adequate English skills, the Coating Advisor can only attend local projects until a reasonable level of English is mastered.)

Provide professional technical advice to our customers, by on-site support on paint application and inspections to ensure that the coating specification is met, and the job is completed according to the contract and the customer's satisfaction.

Dimensions: Job requirements The following are alternatives for minimum levels of education and experience required for this position (either/or):

•Team No.1 Level 2 and relevant advanced modules + >3 years as Coating Advisor Level 1
•Completed high school + >5 years of experience as QC or applicator
• Completed high school + >4 years as a Coating Advisor with a competitor.

Specific credentials/qualifications required in this role:
•English Proficiency
• Team No.1 Level 2 passed
• Completed Advanced Team No. 1 modules training as required by the relevant concepts
