REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidate must be a graduate of Electrical Engineering course or at least a diploma/certificate in the said field
  • With at least 2 years work experience as an Electrician in reputable construction firms, industrial companies, schools
  • With license as an Electrician (an advantage)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrates job knowledge, understands how his/her work relates to the department and organization. Possess knowledge of all tools, equipment and resources most useful to the position.
  • Plan and organizes work, demonstrates dependability and good attendance, makes effective decisions, effective problem solving/demonstrates good judgment, handles multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to use shop math: Practical application of fractions, percentages, ratio and proportion, measurement, practical algebra and application.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain existing panel boxes including the replacement of circuit breakers; troubleshoot electrical circuits in order to eliminate potential hazards.
  • Install and/or replace motor starters, switches, receptacles, circuit lines, etc. as needed.
  • Test, maintain and repair all types of low voltage systems including fire and fire prevention systems and clock.
  • Install and repair lights. Replace ballasts and fixtures as needed.
  • Install commercial kitchen equipment such as braising pans, ovens, ranges, etc. Make repairs on equipment as needed.
  • Install water heaters, electrical heaters, etc. repair and/or replace equipment as needed.
  • Maintain other electrical equipment in proper working condition; utilizes various types of tools which include amperage meters, drills, staplers, screwdrivers, nut drivers, pocket levels, saws, etc.
  • Conduct daily building inspection on room temperatures, water softeners, circuit wires, etc.
  • Operate power and hand tools associated with building maintenance.
  • Make requests on electrical supplies needed for repairs.
  • Perform first level diagnosis and repair of all on-campus elevators.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
