Nurse Supervisor

Qualifications:

• BSN Graduate, Registered Nurse
• PNA member & other accredited professional organizations. (ANSAP- Association of Nursing Service Administration of the Philippines)
• An IV Therapist/ Preceptor
• Master's Degree in Nursing or its equivalent
• With good oral and written communication skills

Professional Duties and Functions

• Responsible for overall supervision of activities related to patient's nursing management within assigned units
• Follow-ups progression of care of critical patients, patient for surgery, x-ray and other complex diagnostic procedures.
• Coordinates patient's care problem with physician and other health team.
• Makes rounds to patient's room to discover problems and deficiencies presented by the patients.
• Arranges schedule of work hours and off duties every fifteen (15) days.
• Follow ups 24 hour explanation report of absences without notice
• Submits any incident report to the Director of Nursing Service within 24 hours (in coordination with the Assistant Nursing Director & Nursing Supervisors.)
• Authorizes overtime and extension of duty of personnel as need arises.
• Evaluates daily staffing based on census and types of patients in each unit per shift and makes adjustments.
• Recommends personnel for promotion, transfer, suspension, and discharge according to the results of their performance evaluation.
• Recommends disciplinary measures for violation of hospital rules.
• Evaluates and assists in the delivery of nursing care system.
