The Financial Reporting & Compliance Supervisor is responsible for supervising and directing a team, including general ledger, accounts payable & receivable, tax compliance & reporting, fixed asset, and cost accounting. They will prepare periodic reports, review, and reconcile data, and participate in the development of financial data and analytics, and budget preparation/analysis. They ensure finance processes and procedures are followed by established policies and standards and related governmental requirements. The Supervisor directs, trains, and guides a team of accountants.
General Accounting
Oversee both Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) teams.
Responsible for General Ledger (GL) management and balance sheet analysis, closely coordinating with Crown's financial shared services team.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of month-end closing activities including recurring entries, accruals, and deferrals.
Tax and Regulatory Compliance
Review and ensure timely and accurate filing and payment of regular tax returns to avoid penalties.
Manage compliance with local government units (LGUs) and regulatory bodies such as PEZA, SEC, and BIR.
Coordinate with external tax consultants during tax assessments and audits.
Prepare and submit required reports to relevant regulatory agencies.
Administration
Supervise daily operations of the accounting team.
Ensure proper safekeeping and organization of all accounting documents, especially confidential files, for easy retrieval during audits.
Perform other tasks as may be assigned by the management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accountancy
At least 5 years of related work experience in general accounting / financial reporting in a corporate setup with at least 2 years of handling a team
Has experience in handling accounting entries, and month end closing activities postings such as recurring entries, accruals, and deferrals, etc
