About the role

Muvr is seeking an experienced Data Manager to own and strengthen our data foundations across the organization. This role is responsible for data quality, governance, consistency, and enablement—ensuring teams can trust and effectively use data to drive decisions.

This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who can balance technical depth, operational rigor, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-growing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Data Management & Governance

  • Own company-wide data management and governance practices, including data quality, documentation, lineage, and standards.
  • Define and enforce consistent metric definitions and data standards across teams.
  • Establish processes for data validation, monitoring, and issue resolution.
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for data accuracy and reliability.

Data Infrastructure & Enablement

  • Partner with Data Engineering and Product teams to support data pipelines, models, and data warehouse initiatives.
  • Prioritize data initiatives based on business impact and operational needs.
  • Improve data accessibility and enable self-service analytics across the organization.

Analytics & Reporting Oversight

  • Oversee dashboards, reports, and KPI frameworks used by leadership and operational teams.
  • Review and validate critical analytics used for strategic, financial, and regulatory reporting.
  • Ensure analytics outputs align with approved metrics and business logic.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Operations, Finance, Risk & Compliance, Product, Trust & Safety, and Customer Support teams.
  • Translate business requirements into data priorities and roadmaps.
  • Educate teams on data best practices and responsible data usage.
Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in data management, analytics, data engineering, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data lifecycle management.
  • Experience working with modern data stacks and cloud data warehouses.
  • Strong SQL skills and ability to review data models and analytics outputs.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in logistics, marketplace, mobility, or gig-economy environments.
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Experience building or scaling data governance frameworks.
  • Prior people management or technical leadership experience.
