I. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Assist customers in selecting menu items, providing recommendations, and answering any inquiries.
  • Take customer orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen staff promptly.
  • Serve food and beverages to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the cafe, including dining areas and serving stations.
  • Set and clear tables, and assist in maintaining a clean and inviting atmosphere.
  • Handle customer payments, process transactions accurately, and provide change when necessary.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and barista staff to coordinate the delivery of orders.
  • Address customer concerns or complaints with professionalism and report any issues to the supervisor or manager.
  • Stay informed about menu items, daily specials, and promotions.
  • Other tasks that may be assigned from time to time

II. Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a cafe or restaurant setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to assist customers and team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic math skills for processing customer payments.
  • Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Team player with a proactive and adaptable approach to work.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food service is a plus.
