About the Role

We are working with a leading international energy company with established operations in the Philippines, currently seeking a
Senior Manager, Risk Management
. This is a strategic leadership role where you will design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive risk management framework across market, credit, operational, and regulatory exposures.

You will be a key advisor to senior management, ensuring the business operates within approved risk limits while achieving commercial goals and complying with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead market and trading risk oversight, including WESM and bilateral contracts.
  • Develop tools for risk analysis (VaR, stress testing, scenario analysis).
  • Manage credit risk assessments and set counterparty credit limits.
  • Oversee regulatory and operational risk compliance (DOE, ERC, PEMC, IEMOP).
  • Prepare risk reports for management, committees, and board-level discussions.
  • Build and update risk policies, manuals, and frameworks.
  • Provide training and foster a strong risk culture across the organisation.

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field (MBA or CFA a plus).
  • At least 5 years of experience in risk management, power/energy markets, commodities trading, or banking/finance.
  • Minimum 3 years in a management or leadership position.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using risk management software/tools.
  • Highly collaborative, innovative, and detail-oriented.
