ROLE SUMMARY

Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their Finance team and will help to optimize finance systems and processes for the organization. He/She will work directly with the Chief Strategy Officer; this individual will provide the financial clarity needed to deliver on key business priorities and outcomes. He/She will be responsible for the full accounting cycle, internal controls, managing finance team members, and supporting the company's financial processes, excluding tax filings handled by outsourced professionals.

WORK SCHEDULE: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (1:00 AM – 10:00 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays

POSITION TYPE: Full Time

WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Execute the financial strategy to enable the company to reach its long-term and short-term goals
  • Manage the accurate and timely delivery of all accounting activities, including the general ledger, cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, payroll, and preparation of financial statements
  • Execute key financial activities (i.e., monthly close, weekly cash flow forecast, journal entries, treasury management, etc.) and assist in other areas as needed
  • Manage any contracted or employed members of the finance team
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and billing processes
  • Maintain vendor relationships with banks, credit card agencies, insurance agencies, accounting firms, and finance/HR systems
  • Drive and directly execute the annual budgeting process for the company
  • Drive and directly execute the quarterly forecasting process for the company
  • Produce department budgets and other key financial information for department leaders and the Executive Leadership Team
  • Govern and optimize financial processes
  • Develop and continually improve internal control structures with an emphasis on system understanding, procedural documentation, standardization, and optimization.
  • Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, preferably in a SaaS organization
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
  • Experience with Chargebee or a similar SaaS subscription platform is highly preferred
  • Deep expertise in QuickBooks Online is required
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools, including Excel, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to deal with highly sensitive matters
  • Strong financial management skills, including budget management, expense control, forecasting, and financial statement analysis
  • Additional focus on US Accounting, FP&A, and finance team management skills
  • Ability to work in an autonomous environment where you can be a self-directed, independent worker
  • Ability to create an inclusive workplace where everyone feels a sense of belonging by empowering all employees to speak up, ask questions, and be seen
  • Analytical skills with particular attention to detail
