Day-to-Day Responsibilities

As our Virtual Electrical Estimator, you'll:

  • Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to understand scope of work.
  • Perform accurate material take-offs and create cost estimates for electrical projects.
  • Prepare detailed bids, proposals, and pricing breakdowns.
  • Research supplier and subcontractor pricing to ensure cost-competitive bids.
  • Collaborate virtually with project managers, engineers, and leadership to finalize estimates.
  • Track and update project costs, budgets, and forecasting.
  • Stay current with electrical standards, materials, and market trends.
  • Provide input on process improvements for more efficient estimating.

Experience & Skills We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience as an electrical estimator in construction or contracting.
  • Solid understanding of electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and labor rates.
  • Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Accubid, Bluebeam, ConEst, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong math, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment with clear communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines under time pressure.
  • Experience with North American (Canada/US) electrical standards is a plus.
