GENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITY

The Senior Package Designer is responsible in developing eye-catching, cost-effective, and safe packaging for products; S/he usually brainstorm, sketch and re-design their concepts based on client needs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops commercially-viable designs that are truly reflective of the brand's essence, market and pricing structure (including labels) and sundries as needed).
  • Keeps adhere in new products, fabrics/materials and advances in technology which may be adapted or utilized in future collections.
  • Discusses all adjustment with the assigned vendor together with representatives from merchandising and design.
  • Submits all required colors for color-matching, stripe configurations and artworks needed for stike-off and fabric development.
  • Prepares all required materials for the line Planning/Presentation meeting (i.e. CAD illustrations, PowerPoint materials, samples, etc.).
  • Uploads final specs sheet in IMS after size set review and assessment.
  • Conducts day-to-day product development activities particularly fit evaluation and construction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of Industrial Design, Clothing Technology, Fashion and Merchandising, Textile and Garments Technology, or other fashion-related course.
  • Familiarity with merchandising principles and concepts.
  • Has understanding of color and design principles; ability to do fashion sketches and illustrations.
  • Strong know-how and understanding of fiber and textile properties, garment construction and patterns.
