Position Overview
The Loan Processor is responsible for reviewing, verifying, and processing loan applications to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and lending regulations. This role serves as the main point of contact between borrowers, loan officers, and underwriters, ensuring a smooth and timely loan approval process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review loan applications for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with lending guidelines.
- Collect and verify borrower documentation, including income, assets, employment, and credit history.
- Prepare and submit complete loan packages to underwriting.
- Communicate with borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, and real estate professionals throughout the process.
- Track deadlines and follow up on outstanding conditions to ensure timely closings.
- Maintain accurate records and update loan processing systems regularly.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Loan Processor, Loan Officer Assistant, or in mortgage/lending operations preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
