Demand Forecasting & Analysis

  • Create and update both short- and long-term demand forecasts.
  • Review historical sales, market movements, and seasonal trends to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Identify and resolve forecast variances, providing actionable recommendations.
  • Utilize statistical models and data-driven methods to strengthen forecasting efforts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to gather inputs for demand planning.
  • Integrate promotions, new product launches, and customer insights into forecast projections.
  • Take part in monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings, presenting forecast updates and analyses.

Inventory & Supply Alignment

  • Work with inventory and supply chain teams to ensure demand forecasts match supply availability.
  • Track stock levels and support inventory management to avoid shortages or excess.
  • Contribute to replenishment plans to sustain optimal service levels.

Systems & Reporting

  • Manage forecasting data within ERP and demand planning tools such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
  • Prepare regular reports and dashboards to measure forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, and related KPIs.
  • Support the development and automation of reporting tools and planning workflows.

Process Improvement

  • Spot opportunities to enhance demand planning processes and contribute to ongoing improvements.
  • Assist in designing and refining standard operating procedures (SOPs) for forecasting and planning.
