devsecops engineer

The DEVSECOPS ENGINEER demands both technical expertise and a proactive mindset to safeguard digital assets while enabling agile innovation. This role will champion the integration of security at every stage of the software development lifecycle, with a focus on shift-left practices. You will proactively embed security controls and testing from the earliest phases of design and development, enabling teams to identify vulnerabilities before code reaches production. This role will closely collaborate with developers, operations, and stakeholders, that will implement automated security tooling in CI/CD pipelines, foster a culture of secure coding, and advocate for early threat modeling. This role will also require creation and use of automation tools in order to either deliver customer requirements of improve processes of customer's environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Implement CI/CD pipelines required by the customer

Create automation processes using different tools required by the customer/project

Collaborate with project team to deliver customer expectations

Configure, troubleshoot and maintain DevSecOps CI/CD pipeline and its infrastructure software and hardware

Educate and train client/team on DevSecOps best practices

Analyze security systems and seek improvements on a continuous basis

Help improve SDLC and its related processes

Implement threat modeling as part of development stage

Documentation of the project activities

QUALIFICATIONS:

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communications skills

Critical thinking skills and the ability to solve problems as they arise

Passionate with software development

Willingness to learn and improve

Knowledgeable in basic IT networking and protocols

Knowledgeable in basic cyber security

Knowledgeable in DevOps

Knowledgeable in Software Development Life Cycle

Industry certifications related to various tools such as, but not limited to, Terraform, Ansible, AWS CI/CD,

Azure CI/CD, GCP CI/CD, and other software development tools
