Inspection Officer for Organic and Sustainable Agriculture

ECOCERT started in 1991, in France and has now over 2200 employees in 26 offices worldwide and serve clients in 110 countries.

In order to support its development in AsiaPacific, ECOCERT is looking for freelance auditors experienced in Agriculture / Agrifood / Life science certification.

We want a highly motivated, energetic, experienced individuals to perform auditor tasks and be part of the growth of the business in the region.

Tasks:

You will be responsible for performing the following tasks:

  • Contact and schedule inspections with the customers
  • Prepare and conduct inspections, in line with company, certification and industry's guidelines
  • Write and send clear inspection reports to the Ecocert certification team in due time

Experience / Education :

  • Bachelor / Master Degree in agriculture, agri-food, life science, sustainable development, environment management or social accountability
  • Fluent in both written & oral English. Fluent in other languages is a plus
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer relations skills
  • Commitment to respect confidentiality, independence and impartiality

Job Requirements :

  • Minimum 2 years experience in audit or in agriculture / food industry is required
  • Qualified for Organic Agriculture or Sustainable Farming Standards
  • A great rigor and a good relationship with all collaborators and a good sense of organization.
  • A good synthesis and listening capacity helps to meet the expectations of customers / operators.
  • The willingness of traveling often locally (up to 70% of the month traveling) & within Asia region if required

Technical skills :

To prove knowledge and understanding in

  • Agriculture, agri-food, life science in general.
  • Organic and sustainable production mode.
  • Regulations and documents in force.
