Dental Assistant

Job Description:

The Dental Clinic Assistant provides essential support to dentists and dental staff in delivering high-quality oral care to patients. The role involves clinical assistance, administrative tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures (e.g., handing instruments, suctioning, etc.)
• Prepare dental instruments and materials before each procedure
• Sterilize instruments and ensure infection control standards are followed
• Take and process dental X-rays as instructed (if certified)
• Manage patient records and assist in scheduling appointments
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dental operatory and waiting area
• Order and stock dental supplies as needed

Perform other tasks as assigned to support clinic operations

Qualifications:

• Education:

Must be a college graduate of a health-related or dental-related course (e.g., BS in Dental Technology, BS Nursing, BS Biology, etc.)

• Experience:

At least 1 year of experience in a dental clinic or related healthcare field is required

• Skills & Competencies:
• Knowledge of basic dental instruments and procedures
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Familiarity with dental software is an advantage
• Ability to follow infection control and safety protocols
• Professional, courteous, and patient-focused

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Php16,770.00 per month
