Studio Makal is an award winning RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) practice based in Singapore. We are expanding and we are looking for enthusiastic Designer to grow with our studio. As an interior Designer , you will play a crucial role in shaping the aesthetic and functionality of residential and commerical spaces, contributing to the growth and success of our thriving design studio . You must be independent to work from home.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Undertake design projects from conceptualization to completion.
  • Understand clients' goals and project requirements.
  • Conduct walk-through presentations using Enscape during client meetings.
  • Oversee project schedules and progress to ensure high-quality standards.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of interior detailing, lighting, and electrical layouts, and prepare related drawings independently.
  • Review and check shop drawings.
  • Prepare mood boards and present design concepts to clients.
  • Possess good knowledge of luxury brands for interior furnishing.
  • Liaise with contractors, clients , suppliers, and consultants confidently.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in the interior design field.
  • Strong knowledge in layout planning, material selection, and color coordination.
  • Proficiency in design software such as SketchUp, Enscape, 3ds Max, D5,  Rhino, Photoshop, Illustrator, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of the team.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong project and time management abilities.
  • Diploma or Degree in Interior Design or equivalent.
  • Good communication skills both on verbal and written English.
