Laundry & Uniform Associate

JOB SUMMARY

The Laundry & Uniform Associate performs duties in the assigned area / section with knowledge, diligence and pride to ensure total guest satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare work areas and check any hand over that needs attention or follow up.
• Sort, segregate and check all room linen, F&B linen, uniforms and guest clothes intended for washing or dry cleaning.
• Report to the Laundry & Uniform Officer / Assistant Manager of any damage, misuse, stain, missing accessories or discoloration found in linens, uniform and guest clothing.
• Remove stubborn stains through spot cleaning.
• Dry clean / wash linens, uniform, guest clothing according to standard.
• Press linen, uniform and guest clothing according to standard.
• Ensure that the quality of the linen, uniform and guest laundry are at the standard set by the management.
• Ensure to record all production in the production form.
• Operate laundry equipment in a proper, safe and efficient manner.
• Report to supervisor any defect that may be observed while operating the machine.
• Ensure that the standard operating procedures are being followed.
• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the machines and the work area.
• Adhere to Laundry Rules and Regulations
• Assist in cost saving drive of the department.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Completed at least 2 years in College; High school graduates can be considered as long as they have at least 6 months laundry & uniform work experience
• Familiar with laundry agents and chemicals
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays
• Knowledgeable in MS Office applications and Google Workspace
• With background in the hotel or casino industry is an advantage
• Possesses good communication skills
• Willing to be trained, flexible, systematic and highly organized
