Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Supervision:

  • Lead and supervise the registrar's office staff, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and foster professional development opportunities for team members.

Student Records Management:

  • Oversee the maintenance of accurate and secure student records, including admissions, registrations, transcripts, and graduation documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) and other relevant data protection regulations.

Enrollment Processes:

  • Manage the enrollment, registration, and course scheduling processes for students.
  • Coordinate and streamline the registration process, ensuring timely responses to student inquiries.

Compliance & Policy Development:

  • Develop and implement policies related to academic records and registration processes, ensuring alignment with institutional goals.
  • Stay informed about changes in regulatory requirements and best practices in higher education.

Reporting & Data Analysis:

  • Generate and analyze reports related to enrollment, retention, and program completion rates to support data-informed decision-making.
  • Prepare statistical reports and presentations for institutional leadership and external agencies.

Customer Service:

  • Provide exceptional service to students, faculty, and staff regarding academic policies and procedures.
  • Address and resolve complex issues related to student records and academic services.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with academic departments, financial aid, admissions, and other departments to support the overall academic mission.
  • Participate in committees related to academic affairs and student success initiatives.

Training & Development:

  • Develop and deliver training sessions for faculty and staff on registrar processes and policies.
  • Lead workshops and information sessions for students on academic policies, registration, and graduation requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a registrar's office or related administrative role in higher education.
  • Experience in a leadership role is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of registrar practices, academic policies, and related legislation.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficient in student information systems (e.g., Banner, PeopleSoft) and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certification in records management or a related field is a plus.
