About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Officer to join our team at Southern Arms Corporation in Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental. As the IT Officer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and IT services to our employees, ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems and infrastructure. What you'll be doing

1. Providing first-line technical support to users, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues
2. Maintaining and administering our computer network, servers, and other IT systems
3. Implementing and monitoring data backup and disaster recovery procedures
4. Assisting with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of new hardware and software
5. Providing training and guidance to employees on the use of IT systems and applications
6. Identifying and recommending improvements to our IT infrastructure and processes
7. Ensuring compliance with IT policies and security protocols

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 2 years of experience in an IT support or IT officer role
2. Strong technical skills in hardware and software troubleshooting, network administration, and database management
3. Familiarity with common IT tools, applications, and operating systems
4. Excellent communication and customer service skills to effectively support and train users
5. Problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
7. Relevant IT certifications or qualifications would be an advantage
