The Hotel IT Specialist is responsible for maintaining the hotel's IT infrastructure, ensuring that systems are running efficiently, securely, and in accordance with hotel standards. The role involves providing technical support to all hotel departments, managing hardware and software issues, troubleshooting network problems, and implementing IT solutions to improve overall operations and guest services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage the hotel's network systems, including servers, routers, switches, and wireless infrastructure.
  • Ensure continuous uptime of hotel software applications such as Property Management System (PMS), Point of Sale (POS), and other hotel-specific systems.
  • Monitor and maintain hotel security systems, including firewalls, CCTV, and data backup systems.
  • Provide day-to-day technical support for all hotel departments.
  • Resolve hardware and software issues promptly, minimizing downtime.
  • Assist with setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of IT equipment, including computers, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Provide IT support for guest Wi-Fi, ensuring high-quality internet service for hotel guests.
  • Administer and maintain the hotel's core software systems (PMS, POS, accounting, HR, etc.).
  • Perform software updates, patches, and backups in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hotel management systems.
  • Implement and enforce IT security policies to protect the hotel's systems and data from threats.
  • Ensure data privacy compliance, including securing sensitive guest information and financial records.
  • Monitor the hotel's IT environment for security vulnerabilities and respond to any incidents.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of IT-related projects, such as system upgrades, software implementations, and technology rollouts.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors for the installation and maintenance of hardware and software.
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all IT hardware and software assets.
  • Keep accurate records of IT issues, solutions, and system configurations for future reference.
  • Document IT procedures and policies, and ensure they are followed by staff.
  • Provide IT training and support to hotel staff to ensure efficient use of technology in daily operations.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in hotel IT systems and recommend improvements.
  • Liaise with external IT vendors and service providers for support and procurement.
  • Evaluate new technology solutions that could improve hotel operations or enhance guest experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php20, Php25,000.00 per month
