
SCADA Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement SCADA systems for renewable energy projects, including solar farms and substations.
- Configure and program SCADA software (e.g., Ignition, Wonderware, GE, Schneider, Siemens, etc.).
- Integrate data from RTUs, PLCs, inverters, weather stations, and meters via standard protocols (Modbus, DNP3, IEC
- Support remote monitoring and control of power plants through HMI dashboards and secure communication networks.
- Collaborate with control systems engineers for PLC programming and logic development.
- Assist in commissioning and troubleshooting of SCADA and control equipment on-site and remotely.
- Maintain system documentation including P&IDs, I/O lists, control narratives, and network diagrams.
- Implement cybersecurity best practices and ensure NERC/FERC compliance where applicable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in SCADA system development, preferably in the energy or utilities sector.
- Working knowledge of SCADA platforms and industrial communication protocols (Modbus TCP/RTU, OPC UA, DNP3, IEC 60870/61850).
- Experience working with RTUs, PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, SEL), and remote telemetry systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
