Work Hours: Depends on client, but most want at least 2 hours of overlap with U.S. time zones

Note: This role is for placement into our general pool of candidates to match with U.S. and European companies and not for a specific role. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
  • Conduct account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, providing accurate financial data and analysis.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and support business operations.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably with experience in a large accounting firm.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, Intacct, etc) preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
