Job Overview

Fastrack Multi-Purpose Cooperative is looking for a skilled Junior Architect to support design and construction projects for retail and commercial spaces. The role involves preparing architectural plans, conceptualizing store designs, and assisting in project coordination during the pre-construction phase.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed architectural plans, layouts, and construction drawings for building permit applications
  • Conceptualize and develop designs for convenience stores and retail spaces
  • Create 3D models using SketchUp and rendering with V-Ray
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and the construction manager in planning and project coordination
  • Identify and resolve design or engineering issues during the pre-construction phase
  • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of design deliverables
  • Assist in managing team-related tasks in design and planning activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in BS Architecture, BS Industrial Technology major in Drafting, or a related course
  • Licensed Architect or Engineer (required)
  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and V-Ray
  • Strong design and technical drawing skills
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to work under minimal supervision
