The Treasury Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all branches are well-funded to be fully operational. The role involves managing operating funds, minimizing associated risks, and maximizing return on cash.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fund Management: Allocate and utilize operating funds to provide timely funding for day-to-day operational requirements.
  • Cash Inventory: Determine optimal cash inventory across all branches to minimize associated risks and maximize return on cash.
  • Policy Development: Assist in the development of treasury policies, procedures, and operational controls.
  • Compliance & Oversight: Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures, including the supervision of cash management activities.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Gather and analyze data to efficiently manage cash inventory of a branch and prepare requested cash-related reports.
  • Reconciliation: Perform daily reconciliation between actual and expected cash-related transactions.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain positive, long-term working relationships with banks.
  • Fee Negotiation: Negotiate service fees and set policies to minimize these fees.
  • Relief Function: Serve as a reliever for the Liquidity/Foreign Exchange desk.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent field.
  • Experience: Experience in Treasury with a background in Accounting and Finance is an advantage.
  • Knowledge: Knowledgeable in relevant treasury and banking transactions.
