Aircon Technician

Job Summary:

Responsible for ensuring that all air conditioning units are working optimally and the maintenance cost is within the committed budget

Scope and Responsibilities:

1.    Ensure that all air conditioning unit are available and at optimal condition

2.    Check all air conditioning unit daily

3.    Clean all units and other equipment as necessary

4.    Replace defective parts or repair equipment immediately

5.    Report on the status of air conditioning equipment and needed materials

6.    Ensure repair and maintenance cost is still within allowable budget

7.    Keeps proper track of all spare parts at tools

8.    Conduct inventory of available spare parts.

9.    Ensure safety and proper housekeeping in work area

10.  Ensures materials and tools are in proper place

11.  Adheres to set safety guidelines

12.  Ensure the preparation checking consolidation and submission of work related reports

13.  Record maintenance work order and status report in log book

14.  Processes recommendation report on air conditioning units if necessary

15.  Performs all repairs related to electrical job including motor rewinding;

16.  Perform other related task assigned from time to time

Education and Training Requirements:

·      RAC Servicing (DOMRAC) NC II.

·      2years experience.

·      Preferably with valid National Competency Certificate.

Skills Requirements:

·      Knowledgeable in electrical safety procedure.

·      Ability to use electrical and aircon testing tools.

·      Knowledge in troubleshooting/ repair of electrical and electronics appliance

·      Interpret technical drawings
