JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Boarding/Liaison Officer acts as the main point of contact between vessels and port authorities or service providers. He/she assists the Assistant Operations Manager and Project Manager in the day-to-day operations of the vessel and projects, including but not limited to attending to vessels upon arrival and departure, facilitating port formalities, ensuring compliance with regulations, coordinating with various stakeholders, and representing the company in all shipboard and port-related matters.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supporting operational activities (permitting & operations) with the guidance of the Manager/Supervisor.
- Compiling, reviewing, and processing documents for the application of permits for vessels, personnel or the project (environment related, LGUs, etc).
- Overseeing the ship's interest when in port on behalf of the company.
- Negotiating and coordinating with the different agencies concerned, and port authorities on behalf of the vessel and owner in the best interest of the company.
- Provide high degree of customer service to all our customers over emails/calls/chat. Ensure customer issues are resolved on timely basis each time. Respond to customer queries via phone/ email/ chat with accurate resolution of any inquiry.
- Supporting in monitoring project accounts, and operational activities, creating trackers, and sending updates of movements/status to the principal.
- Addressing important concerns and actively participating during meetings involving authorities, clients, and other stakeholders whenever appropriate.
- Maximizing business opportunities by being proactive in understanding any additional requirements of the project.
- Coordinating with the service providers needed for the vessel's call in port.
- Tendering vessel's arrival notices, berth application, bunkering applications, and any other vessel-related operational permits.
- Protecting the interest of the company at all costs and being able to not disclose confidential information.
- Operating and maneuvering including but not limited to MS Office tools.
- Other tasks may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or department head.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From Php20,000.00 per month

- Shipping or Port Operations: 2 years (Preferred)
