Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and prepare cost accounting reports, including cost breakdowns, cost forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of annual budgets and forecast reports.
  • Monitor spending patterns, provide insight into cost control, and ensure budget compliance.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather information for accurate cost estimates.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis to help optimize spending and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure that financial records related to costing and budgeting are accurate and up to date.
  • Perform regular financial audits and support internal controls related to cost management.

Skills & Competencies:

- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and budget planning processes.

- Proficient in analyzing financial statements, budgets, and cost reports.

- Excellent attention to detail with a strong ability to identify discrepancies or areas for cost-saving opportunities.

- Solid problem-solving skills and ability to think analytically.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.).

- Good communication skills to collaborate with other departments for budget planning and cost-related decisions.

Education & Experience:

- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 

- For licensed accountants, CPA certification is a plus but not required.

- At least 3 years relevant experience in accounting, with a focus on costing, budgeting, and financial analysis is highly preferred.
