RMB Retrobuild and Construction Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Assistant to support our finance team in managing day-to-day accounting operations. This role will focus on accurate record-keeping, timely processing of financial transactions, and assisting with reports to ensure smooth financial management across our construction projects.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Transactions & Record-Keeping:

  • Prepare and record invoices, receipts, and vouchers.
  • Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Assist in payroll processing and ensure accurate timekeeping records.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial files and documentation.

Reporting & Support:

  • Assist in preparing financial statements, budgets, and expense reports.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
  • Provide administrative support to the accounting department as needed.

Compliance & Coordination:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and project teams regarding billing and payment concerns.
  • Assist external auditors by providing requested financial data and documents.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 1–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (construction industry experience is a plus).
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
