Medical Editor

Are you a meticulous medical language expert with a sharp eye for detail? We're looking for an experienced Medical Quality Assurance Editor to be the final line of defense, ensuring all patient reports are accurate, clear, and compliant for critical medical, legal, and claims-related purposes.

What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

This role focuses on elevating the quality, clarity, and compliance of transcribed medical reports across several critical areas:

  • Accuracy Verification: Conduct final quality checks against original source materials (interviews, charts, infosheets) to guarantee the 100% accuracy of all patient data.
  • Substantive & Compliance Editing: Perform comprehensive editing (proofreading, copyediting, and rewriting) to ensure reports meet AAMT standards, client-specific style guides, and legal requirements.
  • Clarity & Flow: Re-write or condense complex material, eliminate redundancy, and restructure paragraphs to ensure the report effectively communicates patient information to the intended audience (e.g., physicians, claims adjusters, court proceedings).
  • Consistency: Standardize spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and ensure consistency in tense, format, and content throughout the document.
  • Documentation & Workflow Management:
  • Prepare reports for final transmittal, including monitoring progress, coordinating with our Customer Service team, and performing final quality control checks.
  • Maintain detailed records and productivity logs for statistical analysis and workflow monitoring.
  • Perform routine system and software maintenance as required.
  • Knowledge Development: Actively research and utilize a wide variety of technical resources (dictionaries, manuals, procedural guides) to ensure the correct usage of complex medical, surgical, and legal terminology.
  • Training & Mentorship (as needed): Develop or update style guides, templates, and standards for specific accounts. Provide direct, constructive coaching and feedback Historians to improve overall team performance.

What You'll Bring: Qualifications

  • Experience: 1-2 years of proven experience in medical editing, quality assurance, or medical transcription.
  • Education: A degree in a medical or allied health field is strongly preferred (e.g., Nursing, Medical Technology, Biology, Health Sciences).
  • Language Mastery: Superior proficiency in the English language, including advanced knowledge of medical, surgical, and pharmacological terminology.
  • Skills: Exceptional comprehension, analytical, and critical thinking skills with an uncompromising attention to detail.
  • Technical Aptitude: Efficient working knowledge of computer systems, word processing software, and internet research tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php25, Php30,000.00 per month
