Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the AVP- Sales for Luzon, the Pricing Specialist is responsible for determining the appropriate pricing for company products based on a variety of factors. The duties include review of service contract, rate request, attends to tender, submitting request for proposal, conducting market research to learn more about competitor pricing for similar items, and reviewing previous sales data and company revenue needs and deciding a market price for a range of products based on their findings.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess the overall accuracy and completeness of international and domestic freight rates, and back up providers for brokerage services
  • Negotiate international freight rates, brokerage fees, including terms and conditions.   Establish rapport by meeting international shipping lines, other brokers Prepares and submits pricing reports and marketing administrative work.
  • Respond to spot rate requests using latest tariffs.
  • Coordinates Sales pricing requirements to all concerned departments to ensure maintenance of client satisfaction level.
  • Recommend pricing strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analysis
  • Develop pricing plan in support of organization strategy and objectives. Participate in and prepare for strategy meetings.
  • Carry out presentations, work with spreadsheets.

  • Performs other duties as maybe assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Business Administration, Management Engineering, Economics, Industrial Engineering and other business or Math-related courses
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in freight pricing.  Previous experience across Liner Sales, CIC, & Operations is preferred
