Position Overview: As a Warehouseman/Warehousewoman, you will play a vital role in the daily operations of our warehouse facility. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and distributing materials, equipment, and products within the warehouse. You will ensure accurate inventory management, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and support the overall efficiency of warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Material Handling:

  • Receive incoming materials and verify against packing slips or purchase orders.
  • Safely and efficiently unload deliveries and transport them to designated storage areas.

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and locations.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and assist with periodic physical inventories.

Order Fulfillment:

  • Pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment according to customer specifications.
  • Prepare shipping documentation and arrange carriers for outbound shipments.

Warehouse Organization:

  • Ensure materials are stored in designated locations and labeled correctly.
  • Keep warehouse clean and organized, including disposing of packing materials and debris.

Equipment Operation:

  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues to management.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Comply with company policies and regulatory requirements related to warehouse operations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations or a similar role preferred.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment and machinery (forklift certification may be required).
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
