Senior Chemist

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and oversee laboratory analyses related to water and wastewater samples, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance with established standards.
• Perform wastewater analysis and ensure proper documentation, having previously analyzed at least 300 relevant samples.
• Ensure laboratory operations adhere to regulatory requirements from agencies such as DOH, DENR, and other relevant government bodies.
• Maintain and enhance QA/QC systems, ensuring all instruments, procedures, and analytical methods meet internal and external standards.
• Supervise daily laboratory activities, guide laboratory staff, and ensure proper workflow, safety practices, and technical competence.
• Prepare technical reports, test results, and compliance documentation for internal use and regulatory submission.
• Collaborate with management and other departments to support environmental monitoring, compliance initiatives, and process improvements.
• Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Support audits, inspections, and accreditations related to water and wastewater laboratory operations.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Chemist (PRC).
• At least 5 years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in wastewater analysis, with proven handling of at least 300 wastewater samples.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (DOH, DENR, etc.) related to water and wastewater laboratories.
• Proven ability to supervise laboratory operations, ensuring accurate data generation and efficient workflow.
• Demonstrated experience in QA/QC systems implementation and maintenance.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willing to be assigned in Valenzuela City.

Pay: Php30, Php50,000.00 per month
