Mill Manager

Main Functions:

1.     Responsible for the supervision and management of each on-site company department.

2.     Responsible for the development and implementation of strategic activities for the company.

3.     Responsible for regular communication, coordination, and reporting to the CEO and Management Committee of on-site company activities.

Job Specifics

Supervision and Management :

• Ensures smooth and harmonious operations of all on-site departments, which includes Mill Operations and Maintenance, FFB Management and Sourcing, Laboratory, Administration, Port Operations and Community Relations.
• Streamlines all departmental processes, always looking to improve procedures.
• Ensures that all departments are on track hitting their targets, giving them support when needed.
• Ensures that all departments are performing profitably and within their budget.
• Oversees on-site operational and financial controls.
• Ensures that all departments adhere to prescribed company policies and procedures.

Strategizing activities :

• Ensures that company is always up to industry standards and always ahead of competition.
• Creates opportunities to benefit the company.
• Identifies potential threats, confers on strategy with the CEO and Management Committee before engaging them in an efficient manner.

General :

• Maintains and grows a workforce that is, not only highly competent and motivated, but also loyal and dedicated.
• Ensures that the security of all on-site personnel, company premises, physical assets, and properties are preserved.
• Ensures company compliance with all applicable local and national regulations and guidelines.
• Reviews budgets, minimizes costs and ensures the adherence of each department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·       Male, 45-55 years old

·       College Degree (Engineering, Finance or Business Administration)

·       Preferably with Graduate studies (or Master's Degree)

·       Must have at least 8 years experience in a plant or mill operations on Management level

·       Must have a minimum of 8 years experience in a company as a General Manager or above level.

·       Must be willing to travel regularly to Mindanao

·       Experience and Familiarity with the Palm Oil Industry will be an advantage

· People management and financial management skills are needed
