Job description
We are looking for skilled and dependable individuals to join our restaurant kitchen team as Grillman during the peak/seasonal period. The Grillman is responsible for preparing grilled food items according to standardized recipes and ensuring food quality, cleanliness, and safety at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook grilled food items (meats, poultry, etc.) to order.
- Ensure proper grilling techniques and cooking times are followed.
- Set up and maintain the grill station, including stocking and cleaning.
- Monitor food quality, portion sizes, and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area, grill, and tools.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards strictly.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food service.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- At least High School graduate or equivalent.
- Previous experience in grilling or line cooking in a restaurant is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of grilling techniques and kitchen safety.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.
- Team player with a good attitude and strong work ethic.
