Accounting Associate

The Accounting Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records of the company. The role involves preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, assisting in month-end closing, and ensuring that all transactions are properly recorded in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.

• Record and post journal entries for various accounting transactions.
• Prepare and maintain general ledger schedules and account reconciliations.
• Verify, analyze, and correct discrepancies in financial data and accounting records.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Coordinate with other departments for accurate financial reporting and documentation.
• Monitor and maintain records of fixed assets, accruals, and prepayments.
• Ensure proper filing and safekeeping of accounting documents.
• Assist during internal and external audits by providing required reports and documents.
• Perform other accounting-related tasks as may be assigned from time to time.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Financial Management, or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting systems/software.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles, journal entries, and reconciliation.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Good analytical and communication skills.
• Demonstrates integrity, confidentiality, and reliability in handling financial data.
