Job Description
This position helps make gospel teachings, resources,or services accessible to all in a simple and affordable way.
- Incumbents provide high quality customer service which routinely requires product knowledge to assist customers.
- Responds to customer questions regarding curriculum, proper fitting of clothing or issues of similar complexity.
- Incumbents possess cashiering skills coupled with product knowledge acquired on the job.
- Product knowledge is generally acquired during a brief learning period of approximately one to three months.
- As new products are added to inventory, incumbents are expected to develop understanding of contents and/or properties to adequately serve customers.
- May provide personal-fitting services to patrons at Beehive Clothing Distribution Centers.
- May perform some housekeeping duties to ensure the facility, equipment and storage areas are in good condition.
Responsibilities
- Assists the store manager sure that the store is attractively displayed, well presented, that adequate inventory is on the shelf, and proper layout facilitates traffic management; face to face interaction with customers to resolve more critical customer service concerns.
- Implement continuous improvement programs in all areas of responsibility to include stock, merchandising and staff training.
- Assures that inventory on the floor is adequate to meet customer needs by overseeing store operations, using reports, and observation.
- Reviewing key operating indicators, ensuring profitable operation.
- Assists in ordering and replenishment to ensure proper in stock levels.
- Responsible to motivate others to provide a great customer service.
- Provide training and development for the center's staff, including employees, church service missionaries and volunteers.
- Assist with scheduling and delegation of tasks.
- Provides feedback and coaching as necessary for individual performance.
- Assists manager in meeting financial goals for sales, payroll, and other expenses.
Qualifications
- Can start on November 1
- Two years post high school education
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in business, retail sales, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Functional computer knowledge with Word, Excel, e-mail, or related programs
- Excellent interpersonal skills (i.e. ability to lead, delegate and direct the work of others)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
