Key Purpose

To support Genstore's business operations by analyzing inventory, sales, supply chain, and merchandising data; identifying trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities; and recommending actions to improve performance, reduce costs, and ensure optimal stock levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze inventory levels across stores / warehouses / online channels.
• Perform regular inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation of physical vs system records.
• Identify variances (e.g., excess, obsolete, short stock, slow-moving items) and propose corrective actions.
• Forecast demand based on historical sales, seasonal trends, promotions, and new product launches.
• Assist in demand planning, allocation, and replenishment planning.
• Collaborate with procurement/supply chain to ensure timely restock and efficient allocation of products.
• Generate reports and dashboards showing KPIs such as inventory turnover, stock outs, lead time, gross margin impact, etc.
• Analyze sales data by product, category, store location, or channel to identify growth or decline, and provide insights to merchandising or marketing teams.
• Support product assortment planning, based on which goods perform well and which don't.
• Help evaluate the financial implications of inventory decisions (holding costs, markdowns, carrying costs).
• Work with systems / ERP / inventory management tools to maintain clean and accurate master data (item details, stock locations, replenishment settings).
• Support special projects — e.g., process improvements, system implementations, cost reduction initiatives.
