Chief Compliance Officer - Remote - Up to 250KAbout the job: Chief Compliance Officer - Remote - Up to 250KThe Chief Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring a strong policy environment to ensure compliance with BSP regulations. This role will also conduct reviews of clients to ensure they meet the compliance (and other risk) requirements of the bank. Responsibilities include:Compliance and policy development, including defining policies in areas such as:Operational policyAML policyIT and information risk policy

Additional duties include:Maintaining the Compliance Monitoring SystemCompliance reporting

Applying to the BSPConducting compliance reviews of partners

Ensuring partners (origination, cash management, and system providers) meet regulatory requirements, providing inputs into risk assessments, managing risk reviews, and ensuring documentation is complete and approved at the appropriate level. Conducting internal and external policy reviews, monitoring exceptions, and providing feedback to partner-facing teams. Serving as secretariat to the Risk, Audit, and Compliance Committees.

Ensuring adequate AML coverage. This position shall serve as the regulated roles of Chief Compliance Officer and AMLO. The candidate should deeply understand regulatory requirements, find creative solutions, and understand the practical implications of policies to meet regulatory and client needs.

The role reports directly to the independent Risk and Audit / Compliance Committees and works closely with the Head of Operations / CEO.Metrics to monitor include:On-time implementation of partner risk reviews and policy development plansBSP assessment of the bank's performance (BSP rating)Feedback from partner-facing teams

Required skills and qualifications:At least 8 years of senior management experience in compliance, ideally in banking or fintech

Expertise in BSP regulations and compliance

Experience in communication with BSPPolicy development skills with clear and concise writing

Legal or compliance background approved by BSPExperience in risk management processes, including market, liquidity, and IT risk management

Leadership in internal audit functions, including defining audit timetables and oversight

The candidate should also review current policies, identify gaps, and ensure compliance with AML regimes, including reporting to Board Committees on compliance review, policy status, and partner risk assessments.
