About the Role

We're looking for a Senior React Native Engineer to play a key role in building and scaling secure, high-performance mobile applications for a fintech platform operating in a regulated environment.

You'll take ownership of mobile features end to end, contribute to architectural decisions, and work closely with product, design, backend, and leadership teams to deliver reliable, user-focused financial products.

Key Responsibilities

E-Commerce & Shopify/Sanity Management:

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of mobile applications using React Native
  • Own mobile architecture decisions with a focus on performance, scalability, and security
  • Collaborate with product, design, backend, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Integrate and maintain secure connections to APIs and third-party services
  • Uphold high standards through code reviews, testing, and documentation
  • Implement secure coding practices suitable for fintech applications
  • Identify and resolve performance and stability issues
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers
  • Contribute to technical planning, estimations, and roadmap discussions

About You

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience with strong React Native expertise
  • Advanced proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript
  • Deep understanding of React patterns, hooks, and state management
  • Strong experience integrating APIs and managing complex async workflows
  • Solid knowledge of mobile performance optimisation and debugging
  • Experience working with secure or regulated systems
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in fintech, banking, payments, or financial services
  • Native mobile experience
  • Experience with automated testing and mobile release pipelines
  • Familiarity with compliance-driven development environments
