Key Responsibilities:

  • Transportation:
  • Safely drive vehicles (cars, trucks, vans, etc.) to various locations as per the instructions (local and long-distance travel as required).
  • Transport passengers, goods, or materials according to delivery schedules.
  • Ensure timely arrival at destinations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance:
  • Regularly inspect and maintain the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Perform routine vehicle checks (oil levels, tire pressure, etc.) and report any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper hygiene of the vehicle interior and exterior.
  • Ensure the vehicle is equipped with necessary tools and documentation (e.g., registration, insurance).
  • Safety Compliance:
  • Adhere to all road traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while driving.
  • Drive in a defensive and cautious manner to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of passengers, cargo, and others on the road.
  • Follow traffic rules, speed limits, and local driving regulations at all times.
  • Logistics & Reporting:
  • Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and any issues with the vehicle.
  • Maintain a logbook of deliveries or passenger pick-ups, including times and locations.
  • Report any accidents, road incidents, or damages immediately to the employer.

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license suitable for the vehicle type (e.g., professional, commercial, or regular driver's license).
  • Experience: Previous experience as a driver or in a similar role is preferred (usually 1-3 years, depending on the job).
  • Knowledge: Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance, traffic laws, and safety regulations.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to drive for long hours and carry light to medium loads (if applicable).
  • Clean Driving Record: A history of safe driving and no serious accidents or violations.
