Demand Planner supports end-to-end supply chain and inventory management by monitoring sales demand, forecasting requirements, and ensuring timely replenishment to prevent stockouts. The role maintains accurate ERP records, oversees expiry control and FIFO/FEFO practices, and conducts product movement analysis for real-time stock visibility. It also coordinates deliveries, verifies incoming shipments, and works closely with warehouse and purchasing teams to keep inventory flowing smoothly. This position identifies process gaps and drives improvements to enhance overall supply chain efficiency and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor sales orders and customer demand to support accurate forecasting, anticipate stock needs, and prevent stockouts and shortages.
- Review inventory levels in the ERP inventory system and alert purchasing for timely replenishment, making sure that fast-moving and critical items remain in stock; follow up on pending, partial, or delayed orders.
- Analyze product movement, usage trends, and supplier lead times; prepare monthly inventory, expiry, demand, and forecast reports based on sales activity to support uninterrupted supply.
- Conduct routine stock checks and reconcile monthly physical counts with ERP records to maintain inventory accuracy and reduce the risk of stockouts.
- Oversee expiry monitoring and implement FIFO/FEFO practices to minimize waste, prevent losses, and ensure availability of usable stock.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams to expedite pending deliveries, manage incoming shipments, verify receiving documents, and resolve discrepancies to keep inventory flowing.
- Quickly report any shipment delays and ensure goods received are entered into the ERP on time and accurately to keep stock records reliable.
Qualifications
Education: Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or equivalent
Experience:
- Preferably with 1–3 years of experience in supply chain, inventory, purchasing support, or warehouse coordination
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong Excel skills
- Familiar with ERP/inventory systems
- Understanding of FIFO, FEFO, safety stock, and reorder point concepts
- Ability to interpret sales/order trends
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication skills for internal coordination
- Able to manage multiple tasks independently
