General Manager- Supermarket| Davao

Job Summary:Lead and oversee the operations of Landers Superstore - Davao, focusing on the supermarket, Food Central, and its affiliates, Capital Care and Federal Barbers. This role will spearhead strategies to increase sales, membership, and manage operational expenses for the store. I. Job ObjectiveAttain optimum sales and OPEX performances through effective planning, leadership, organization, and control of the assigned store or branch.

Manage and supervise the daily operations of the assigned stores. Provide an engaging and excellent members' service experience during their store visits. Ensure the safety and security of all members and employees in the store.

II. Management Performance Areas (MPA)A.

PlanningDiscuss KPIs and set standards for critical store operation performance areas. Develop action plans to achieve sales growth and gross margin targets. Analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the assigned stores compared to competitors, identifying opportunities and threats.

B. LeadingInstill Landers' vision, mission, and values among subordinates. Motivate and guide the store operations team to work harmoniously. Foster healthy communication between operations and support teams.

C. OrganizingDefine and organize activities into logical assignments to achieve results. Delegate responsibilities appropriately to subordinates. D. ControllingAssess and evaluate KPIs against objectives to determine necessary actions and adapt to new challenges.

III. Key Results Area (KRA)A.

Membership / Marketing ManagementStrengthen Landers' brand image and affinity in the area. Implement membership promotions and activities effectively and timely. Grow membership and improve member retention and renewal rates.

B. Store Operations ManagementEnhance efficiency in goods receiving and front-end operations. Create a safe, clean, and secure shopping environment for members and employees. Foster a member-service-oriented culture.

Ensure all store equipment is operational. Manage expenses within the approved budget. Regularly appraise and train store staff.

Conduct daily floor walks and audits. Improve e-commerce performance through stock availability and fulfillment. Oversee Caltex operations.

C. Merchandise and Stock ManagementAssess sales performance and plan actions to improve sales. Monitor shrinkage, disposal, and expiry of products. Implement merchandising and stocking standards.

Coordinate store layout planning with VP Operations and COO.Manage display movements and planogram compliance. Optimize stock levels and availability. Standardize procedures for overstock and inventory management.

Monitor stock KPIs and approve cycle count adjustments. Conduct annual physical inventory counts. D. Food Central and Doppio OperationsManage and supervise Food Central and Doppio operations, including kitchen and counter services.

Monitor KPIs and develop improvement plans. Control shrinkage, disposal, and expiry. Ensure safety, security, and customer satisfaction.

E. Store AffiliatesCoordinate with affiliates (Federal Barbers and Capital Care Pharmacy) to improve sales and service. F. Wholesale / Bulk SalesDevelop new channels for bulk and volume sales. G. Cost Control ManagementOptimize use of equipment to minimize electricity costs without compromising member comfort.

Implement action plans to control major expenses like salaries, electricity, and security. IV. Job Qualifications and RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, IT, Engineering, or Marketing; graduate studies preferred.

Minimum of 15 years in FMCG, retail, or mall operations. At least 10 years as an Area Manager, Regional Manager, or GM of a large mall.

Experience in opening and setting up new stores. Proficient in English communication, both written and spoken. Skilled in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Pivot), JDE, SAP, and WMS.Knowledgeable in financial statements and accounting terms.

Experience leading teams of over 500 personnel.
