OverviewWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Docket Clerk to join our team. The role provides essential support to the Docket Office by processing docket entries, assisting with filings and service of process, and maintaining accurate and timely records of court deadlines and communications.
Key Responsibilities- Enter and update docket entries and case information in the firm's docketing system.
- Assist with preparing and submitting electronic and hard-copy filings under supervision.
- Monitor and review court notices; update all corresponding deadlines.
- Maintain filing records, proof of service documentation, and calendared entries.
- Notify attorneys and paralegals of upcoming deadlines and court directives.
- Coordinate service of process, including preparing documents for process servers and tracking completion.
- Retrieve filed documents from court systems and respond to attorney requests for case information.
- Perform administrative and case management support tasks such as scanning, PDF conversion, and organizing case materials.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Familiarity with electronic filing platforms and docketing systems is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to manage time-sensitive materials and navigate court environments for in-person tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to handle after-hours assignments depending on firm needs.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Punctuality, reliability, and professional conduct.
- Strict adherence to confidentiality for all firm and client documentation.
- Ability to work overtime when necessary.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to find solutions.
- Ability to prioritize multiple competing requests and communicate expected completion timelines effectively.
