IT/OT Security Engineer

The Information Technology/Operational Technology Security Engineer is responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily security operations, ensuring the protection of data and IT systems across the organization. This role conducts risk assessments and assists with the implementation of security policies and procedures under the direction of the Information Technology/Operational Technology Security Supervisor. The Information Technology/Operational Technology Security Engineer also responds to security incidents, manages routine monitoring, and enforces security protocols to safeguard organizational assets.

Assists in implementing security policies, standards, and procedures to protect data and IT/OT assets. Monitors network and system activity for suspicious behavior and ensures incidents are escalated as necessary. Conducts regular vulnerability assessments and assists in remediation to maintain secure IT Systems, Servers, Network devices, and IT devices within the OT environment.

Responds to security incidents, coordinating with the IT Security Head to minimize impact and resolve issues effectively. Maintains documentation of security incidents, policies, and compliance activities for future reference and audits. Coordinates with vendors for security products, support, and updates, ensuring optimized use of resources.

Provides training and awareness sessions to promote security best practices among employees. Guides and supervises direct reports in day-to-day activities, acting as a level 1 escalation focal point and providing career guidance. Provides end-user support by addressing IT-related inquiries, issues, and requests in a timely and professional manner to enhance productivity.

Ensures adherence to company policies, security protocols, and regulatory standards, promoting a secure organizational environment. Leads efforts to ensure compliance with data protection regulations and security standards, including regular policy reviews and audits. Collaborates with IT/OT teams to support secure configuration of systems, applications, and network devices.

Participates in IT/OT governance committees, representing information security interests and advising on best practices. Takes on additional responsibilities as assigned to support the IT Security team's goals and the organization's strategic initiatives. Minimum QualificationsMust be a Graduate of BSECE, BSCoE, or BSITAny IT Security related certificates are a plus.

Preferably 3-5 years in IT support or infrastructure management with experience in desktop and hardware support.1 vacant position available in Baguio City.
