Full job description

  • Graduate of any 4 year course; Engineering course is an advantage
  • At least with 2 years experienced as technical buyer
  • As technical buyer, with experienced or assigned in Materials Ordering, Consignment and Vendor Management System.
  • Core Job Functions:
  • Sourcing & Evaluation: Identifying, screening, and approving suitable technical suppliers for components, materials, or services.
  • Requirements Definition: Working with Engineering/Production/Planning to understand precise technical specifications (BOMs, standards) for purchases.
  • Negotiation & Contracting: Preparing RFQs, analyzing bids, negotiating pricing, terms, and multi-year agreements.
  • Procurement Execution: Creating and managing Purchase Orders (POs), ensuring timely delivery, and adjusting schedules.
  • Supplier Management: Building relationships, monitoring performance, conducting audits, and resolving quality/delivery issues.
  • Cost Management: Identifying cost-saving opportunities, analyzing market trends, and reducing procurement risks.
  • Internal Liaison: Acting as the link between suppliers and other departments (Manufacturing, Engineering, Planning).
  • Data & Documentation: Maintaining accurate procurement records, managing Purchasing systems, and providing reports.
  • Flexible, can support during weekends and holidays
  • Trustworthy and has high integrity
