Qualifications:

· Graduate of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (non-licensed).

· Knowledge in animal disease recognition, necropsy techniques, and biosecurity practices.

· Basic understanding of government regulations related to livestock operations.

· Good communication and organizational skills.

· Willing to travel and be assigned to various farm locations.

Key Responsibilities (JD)

1. Health Monitoring & Troubleshooting

· Assist the Farm Veterinarian in daily farm visits and health assessments.

· Conduct visual health checks of pigs across all production stages.

· Participate in problem-solving and disease investigation activities.

· Support implementation of veterinary treatment and preventive health programs.

2. Diagnostic Support

· Perform on-farm necropsies and collect appropriate tissue or blood samples for laboratory submission.

· Record and report necropsy findings accurately to the supervising veterinarian.

3. Farm Coordination & Support

· Collaborate with farm managers and supervisors to ensure compliance with animal health protocols.

· Monitor implementation of vaccination, medication, and biosecurity programs as advised by the veterinarian.

· Assist in animal movement documentation and coordination with logistics or regulatory teams.

4. Regulatory & Documentation Support

· Assist the farm in processing veterinary-related permits and regulatory requirements (e.g., farm accreditation, animal movement permits, veterinary drug usage reports).

· Maintain organized records of animal health monitoring, treatments, and laboratory results.

5. Training & Development

· Participate in continuous training programs under the supervision of the Farm Veterinarian.

· Support the dissemination of animal health guidelines and best practices to farm staff.
